Owner/Driver: Dave "Nitetrain" Pryor is a retired Air Force F-15C pilot and current Delta Airlines pilot. Today Dave lives in San Diego California with his Wife Michelle and their son. In his spare time he likes to build anything that makes his Dad say "You are crazy!"
Driver: Dennis “Denny” LeBow currently works for the Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, serving in Dakar, Senegal. He has been married for 23 years and has 4 children. On the weekends he enjoys riding his KTM throughout the coastal region of Senegal.
Driver: David Lassiter is a Program Manager on a Flight Simulator Program with L3Harris in Arlington, TX where he has been employed for 24 years. He’s been married for 16 years and has 4 daughters, 1 son and 2 grandsons. In his spare time David enjoys hanging by his pool with his family, 4-Wheeling and scuba diving.
Driver: JD “Danny” Whitaker is a retired Army officer and current department of defense mental health provider currently serving with his wife of 10 years MAJ Natalie Whitaker in Ramstein-Miesenbach Germany. In his free time Danny enjoys adventure racing, UTV dirt track racing, trail running and raising their two young daughters. This will be Danny’s first Baja1000.
Driver: Mike Matthews is a ski patroller on Vail Mountain in the winter and a Sawyer in the summer for Beaver Creek Mountain. He has lived in the Vail Valley for 26 years. Before becoming a patroller he was a cook for 17 years. He has been married for 13 years and has 2 dogs. Mike enjoys what he does for a living and spends his free time hanging with his wife and dogs.
Driver: Paul “Bear” Cory is a retired Air Force A-10 pilot and current FedEx pilot. He has deployed all over the world and currently lives in Wichita Falls, TX with his wife of 23 years and 16 year old son. He enjoys traveling in his RV and Jeeping whenever he can. Won’t turn down any adventure!
Driver:Ryan Nunez. Raised in Encinitas, CA, Ryan spent his early days skating to the beach and surfing. Today, a father of two boys (9 and 6) and one strong little lady (3), this dad has much more equipment to carry down to the sand. Life moves fast at the Nunez house where Ryan is merely co-pilot to his wife of 11 years, Julie, who he met in Italy. Ryan is a Senior Director at Salesforce where he leads the North American Partnership with Accenture.
Driver: James “Jim” Johnson is a Special Agent for the Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security and currently serves at the US Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal. With his free time Jim enjoys sailing, messing with guitars, and motorcycle trips. This will be his first Baja 1000.
Support: Brian “Sea Dog” O’Neil is a retired Air Force and Southwest Airlines pilot. Now in his third career, he helps run the family business IP Truck, a commercial truck dealer group based in DFW. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring Austin Healey sports cars, sailing and spending time with family, friends and his dog Trooper. This is his first Baja 1000!
Logistics Support: Mark “Snapper” Bennett is a pilot for Delta Air Lines. He grew up in Western New York and earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester before serving 23 years in the US Air Force. Mark has been married to his wife, Roxane, for 28 years and they have a four year old son named Graham. Mark spends his spare time running, biking and swimming after Graham.
Support: Angela Lassiter is the Manager of Procurement Services for L3Harris Technologies where she has been employed for 20 years. Angela is married with five children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys off road adventures in her Jeep, Country Dancing and Scuba Diving.
Support: Bailey is the Director of Operations for Active Energies Solar in Eagle-Vail, CO. Raised in the plains of Nebraska she fled to the Rocky Mountains 17 years ago where she met her partner in crime, Mike, and has been laughing her way through their adventures ever since. Cruising into the Baja green as can be yet beyond excited for the memories! Hobbies: hanging with Mikey, snuggling with the pups, drinking some beer, playing cards, and mountain biking.
Motivator: He has been know to split wood just by looking at it. Chuck Norris tells Richard Pryor jokes...but never in earshot of the BMF. OSHA was going to give him a violations once, but they deemed that too hazardous. He's my Dad, and I still hope he doesn't find out about the party we had at the house 30 years ago.
Dave is a retired F-15C and F-22 pilot and currently the President of Johnson Brothers Appliances (a small family business in Bend, Oregon). He has been married for 21 years to his incredible wife Carrie and has 4 awesome kids. He enjoys designing and building stuff on the rare occasion he has any free time.
Despite being handsomer and taller, he seems to always be playing catch-up with his cooler, older brothers.
